The Draugr Warrior (Arisen) is a formidable undead revenant drawn from Norse mythology and given monstrous new life in miniature form. This sculpt depicts a towering, heavily-built warrior wearing a horned skull helm and ragged travel-worn armour adorned with ram skull pauldrons and layered fur cloaks. He grips an enormous, serrated greatsword — its blade notched and wicked — in a low, ready carry that speaks of absolute confidence and centuries of violence. His face is a sunken, bearded undead visage framed by the grim horned helm, and he stands atop a broken stone base, mid-stride as though he has just heard his name spoken aloud in a place where the living were foolish enough to speak it.

This is a warrior-king pulled from the burial mound against his will — or perhaps entirely by his own — and he carries the gravitas to serve as a formidable encounter centrepiece, a recurring antagonist across a Norse-flavoured arc, or an anchor piece for an undead warband. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf, the depth of detail in the armour, cloak, and blade makes him a rewarding painting project for experienced and intermediate painters alike.

For adventurers who:

  • Run Norse-inspired D&D 5e campaigns or Ragnarök-themed TTRPG arcs
  • Want a heavy-hitting undead boss or elite warrior for their encounters
  • Are building an undead warband or barrow-themed dungeon set
  • Enjoy painting character-rich sculpts with strong narrative presence
  • Collect display pieces that can hold their own on a shelf or a battlemat

Encounter Hook:
The adventurers have entered the burial mound of Jarl Ulfhednar to retrieve the Stormcaller's Seal — but as they reach the inner chamber, the sarcophagus lid cracks from within. A gauntleted fist emerges first, then the horned helm, then those hollow eyes fix on the party's skald. "You spoke my name," the draugr rasps, dragging his greatsword free from the stone with a screech of metal. "Three times. That was a mistake."

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces and can be attached with a small amount of superglue — this draugr interacts meaningfully with his base, so we recommend keeping them together for the best display. Arrives ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box for your next session.
