This dragonborn lich is a commanding, unsettling presence — a creature that has transcended both mortality and its draconic heritage to become something altogether more terrifying. Robed in tattered, flowing cloth cinched with a heavy chain, the sculpt carries the weight of centuries. The figure grips a tall trident as a staff of office, its three prongs crowned with a jewel-like finial, while the opposite hand extends in a grasping, spell-casting claw. Scaled draconic armour plates cover the chest, and broad, swept-back horns frame the fanged, hollow-eyed head — there is authority here, and menace in equal measure.
MZ4250's sculpt captures that rare combination of arcane majesty and monstrous physicality that makes the best undead villains so memorable. The tattered hem of the robes, the coiled chain at the waist, and the crouching clawed feet all speak to a creature that has shed the last pretence of the living. Whether you paint this in bleached bone and verdigris-stained armour or deep necrotic purples with glowing socketed eyes, the level of surface detail rewards careful brushwork.
This miniature is equally rewarding for adventurers who want a centrepiece antagonist on the gaming table and those building a display collection of undead or draconic characters.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a fearsome undead BBEG to anchor a campaign's climactic encounter
- Are running a dragon-cult or lich-focused storyline and want a miniature that sells the threat
- Collect draconic or undead miniatures and want a showpiece for the shelf
- Enjoy detailed, character-rich sculpts that reward both speed-painting and extended display projects
Encounter Hook
The party has tracked the source of a spreading necrotic blight to a sealed vault beneath a ruined dragonborn city. When the doors grind open, they find the Lich-Emperor Vyroth enthroned at the chamber's heart — trident planted in the stone floor, one clawed hand raised in greeting. He tells them, calmly, that he has been waiting. The phylactery is not here. It was never here. And now, neither are the exits.
