Dragon Turtle by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Something ancient and armoured circles in the shallows — not sea creature, not dragon, but something far older than either name.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Dragon Turtle is one of D&D's most distinctive legendary creatures: a behemoth that blends draconic ferocity with the slow, inexorable menace of something that has outlasted empires. This sculpt by Mia Kay M3DM captures that duality with real character — a compact, coiled pose that suggests restrained power, with layered overlapping scales, swept-back horns, and a broad reptilian head lowered as if sizing up its next target. The creature is mounted on a swirling flame base, giving the impression of a beast rising from scorched earth or volcanic shallows.
The detail work here rewards close attention: the belly scales transition from rounded cobblestones to sharp dorsal ridges, and the wings are layered like overlapping armour plates rather than membrane — making this feel genuinely distinct from a standard dragon. Whether you're using it as a legendary encounter boss, a lair guardian, or a centrepiece for your display shelf, this is a miniature with presence.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable boss encounter for a coastal, volcanic, or underwater campaign arc
- Want a D&D 5e Dragon Turtle with a sculpt that actually feels legendary
- Are building a dragon or sea creature collection for display
- Enjoy painting highly textured, multi-surface miniatures
Encounter Hook:
The fishing village hasn't burned — it's been boiled. The harbour is still steaming, and at the centre of the bay, the surface of the water rises slowly, as something vast and armoured lifts its head from the deep.
