Description

Where kobold cunning ends and draconic power begins, something feral and ancient takes shape — claws crackling with spectral energy, the beast-headed figure coiling to strike.

  • ✔ Multi-miniature bundle — multiple variations in one order
  • ✔ 32mm scale resin, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ All pieces supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Great value for building out encounter groups or display collections

This Dragon Kobold from Epic Miniatures is not the snivelling tunnel-digger adventurers expect to find at the edge of a dragon's lair. This is something that has absorbed draconic power so completely it has shed its former form — a muscular, reptilian figure with a serpentine scaled lower body, rune-etched armour bands at the wrists and waist, and a massive spectral dragon's head rearing up in a sweeping arc above its own skull-faced visage. One clawed hand crackles with a secondary burst of spectral fire; the other is poised, ready to rend. Every surface carries the mark of devoted draconic worship: runic inscriptions across bracers, belt buckles stamped with skulls, layered cloth hanging from a heavy ceremonial belt.

The sculpt captures a moment of barely-contained energy — the figure crouches low on its coiling tail, head thrown back, jaws open wide in a roar as the spectral dragon manifestation arcs overhead like a breaking wave. It is a genuinely theatrical piece, with strong vertical drama from the sweeping spiritual aura that towers over the figure itself. This bundle includes both the plain base and decorative base variants, giving you the flexibility to choose the right presentation for the gaming table or the display shelf.

As a multipart sculpt, the Dragon Kobold rewards careful preparation before priming — the fine detail in the rune-work and scale texture will respond well to a thin zenithal prime before layering. Whether painted as a corrupted kobold champion, a dragon-blooded cultist boss, or a Sorcerer drawing on a draconic bloodline, this miniature brings genuine narrative weight to the table.

Equally suited to the gaming table and the display shelf, this is a centrepiece-worthy sculpt that earns its place in any draconic or dungeon-crawl collection.

This miniature works brilliantly for adventurers who:

  • Need a draconic kobold boss or encounter centrepiece for a dragon cult arc
  • Want a visually distinctive Sorcerer or Warlock with draconic patron flavour
  • Are building a hoard-guardian encounter in a dragon's lair or Underdark chamber
  • Love painting fine scale texture, runic detail, and dramatic spectral energy effects
  • Want a display-worthy piece that doubles as a memorable gaming miniature

Encounter Hook: The party descends into the forgotten vault beneath the Ashfang Mountains, expecting kobold stragglers. Instead, a single figure rises from the centre of a scorched ritual circle — the Dragon Kobold known as Veskrix the Bound, its spectral wyrm rearing overhead as it demands the return of a stolen dragon egg the party didn't know they were carrying.
