The Drago-Opossum is one of those creatures that shouldn't exist but absolutely does, right in the middle of your carefully planned encounter. Sculpted by La Louve 3D, this set brings you a fantastically strange beast with branching dragon horns, a long serpentine tail, and fur-covered bulk that reads as both rodent and something far older. The centrepiece sculpt features a small rat rider perched in a saddled harness on the creature's back, complete with a woven basket, bedroll, hanging lantern, and a bell-tipped rope collar around the beast's neck — every detail suggesting this is not a wild animal but a bonded companion of some peculiar Feywild wanderer. A second, standalone Drago-Opossum variant sports an even more dramatic set of antler-like horns and a fierce open-mawed expression, rope coiled at its neck. Rounding out the set is a delightfully chaotic small rat musician, strumming a lute mid-shriek — exactly the sort of bard NPC your table will never forget.
All three sculpts are rendered in grey digital render format in these images, showing crisp surface detail across fur texture, scaled tails, and finely sculpted tack and equipment. These are printed at 32mm scale, bringing the rider-and-mount to an impressive tabletop presence while keeping the bard rat suitably tiny beside it.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a one-of-a-kind Feywild creature that'll make their players do a double-take
- Want a mounted beast encounter with genuine character and storytelling detail
- Are running a quirky, whimsical, or fey-themed campaign arc
- Collect unusual fantasy sculpts for display alongside more conventional monsters
- Want a memorable bard NPC that doubles as a creature companion
Encounter Hook:
The party follows the sound of lute music deeper into the Feywild vale, expecting a campfire and a travelling merchant — instead they find a rat the size of a pony, saddled and belled, ridden by a grinning creature that clearly knows more about them than it should. The musician perched on a mossy root stops playing only long enough to introduce its companion by name. It has a very long name.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and base (if a base option is selected) are supplied as separate pieces and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Some models interact with their decorative bases, so the base option is worth considering for the best overall display.
