Dorothy & Toto is a darkly whimsical sculpt that subverts the fairy-tale archetype with unsettling precision. Dorothy herself is rendered mid-stride, braids streaming behind her, one hand clutching a tattered doll and the other crackling with magical energy — her expression gleeful in a way that never quite reaches wholesome. Toto, meanwhile, is no terrier. He's a hulking, low-slung predator with a gaping maw full of jagged teeth, muscles coiled and ready, trailing close at her heel with the obedience of something bound rather than tamed.

This pairing works brilliantly as a warlock and her fiendish familiar, a corrupted fey huntress and her bound beast, or an otherworldly NPC whose cheerful demeanour masks something far more dangerous. The sculpt has real narrative tension — the contrast between Dorothy's whimsical dress and ribboned hat and the raw menace of Toto makes her one of those minis that tells a story before a single die is rolled. Equally at home on a Ravenloft encounter map or a display shelf, this is a character that will stop players in their tracks.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run dark fairy-tale campaigns or Ravenloft / horror-adjacent adventures
  • Need a memorable warlock NPC or pact-bound villain with a striking visual identity
  • Want a Beast companion mini that reads as genuinely threatening
  • Are building a themed collection of twisted storybook characters
  • Enjoy painting projects with strong contrasting character dynamics

Encounter Hook:
The children of the village have been leaving gifts at the edge of the Thornwood — bread, flowers, small trinkets. When the party investigates, they find a girl in a blue dress sitting on a mossy stone, humming to herself, one hand resting on the flank of a creature that turns its head slowly toward the adventurers and does not blink. She says her name is Dorothy. She says Toto won't hurt them. She's still smiling when she says it.
