Description

They say Dorian Silverhand Reed never lost a ship he didn't sink himself — and the look in his eyes suggests he'd do it again without a moment's hesitation.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This character bust captures a grizzled, broad-shouldered pirate captain at the height of his reputation. A feathered tricorn sits atop a face carved by decades of salt wind and hard decisions — heavy brows, a stern jaw, and a thick beard that speaks of someone who stopped caring about impressions long before he stopped caring about rules. Across his chest, a brace of pistols rides on a leather baldric, and his long coat hangs open with the casual authority of a man who owns every room he walks into. The sculpt offers exceptional surface variation: the layered fabric of the coat, the tooled leather of the straps, the fine detail of the skull-and-crossbones badge on his hat brim — all rendered with the kind of depth that rewards careful brushwork.

Mounted on a classical display plinth, Dorian is sculpted as a bust rather than a full gaming miniature, making him a natural centrepiece for a painter's shelf or a DM's table. He's the kind of face that tells a story before anyone says a word — a former privateer turned sea lord, a vengeful ex-naval officer, or the most dangerous fence in a coastal city's criminal underworld.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Want a detailed painting project with rich texture and strong character expression
  • Are building a display collection of fantasy busts and character studies
  • Need a memorable face for a pirate captain, smuggling lord, or naval NPC
  • Are collecting showcase pieces for a gaming shelf or hobby display

Encounter Hook:
The party's ship has been boarded — not by pirates, but by customs officials working for a man they've never heard of: Dorian Silverhand Reed. His bust sits behind the harbormaster's desk as they're escorted in. The harbormaster's hands are shaking. Dorian's are not.

Details

This is a display bust rather than a standard 32mm gaming miniature — it is larger in scale and intended for showcase painting and shelf display. Supplied unpainted. The sculpt comes mounted on a stepped square display plinth as shown. Printed to a high standard; minor support marks may occasionally be present and can be cleaned up before painting.
