This is Doppelganger 01 — the shapeshifter caught mid-shift, its form still settling into something almost human. The sculpt captures the creature in its natural, unassumed state: a smooth, featureless humanoid body with blank, hollow eye sockets and a lithe musculature that hints at the forms it could become. The pose is alert and predatory — weight shifted forward, arms slightly raised and fingers splayed, as though it is sizing up its next target. There is no armour, no clothing, no identity — just the unsettling blank canvas that makes doppelgangers so effective and so deeply creepy to place on the table.
The level of anatomical detail in the sculpt is quietly impressive. From the back you can see the full contour of the figure in motion — the spine, the shoulders, the tension in the stance — all rendered with smooth, deliberate surfaces that make this an expressive and painterly miniature despite its apparent simplicity. A wash of shadow tones or a pale, almost-flesh basecoat will bring out the eerie quality of this figure instantly.
