Description

It strikes before you see it, claws raking from a position it was never truly standing in — the displacer beast is the dungeon's cruelest lie made flesh.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

One of the most iconic and feared monstrosities in D&D, the displacer beast is no ordinary predator. Distantly related to the displacer beast of legend, this six-limbed feline horror uses its innate illusion to appear where it isn't — making every swipe of its tentacled appendages a gamble for even the most seasoned adventurer. This sculpt by Mia Kay captures the creature mid-lunge, teeth bared and claws splayed, coiled tail whipping behind it on a textured round base. The musculature and predatory tension in the pose make it as compelling on a display shelf as it is in the middle of a combat grid.

The render shows two angles of the same sculpt — front-on and three-quarter — both in an unpainted, cream resin tone, giving you a clear view of the surface detail and dynamic stance before you pick up a brush. There's real ferocity in the open jaw and the way the forelimbs reach forward, as though the beast has already committed to the pounce.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run D&D 5e or other TTRPG campaigns and want a characterful monstrosity encounter piece
  • Enjoy painting large fantasy beasts with dramatic, dynamic sculpts
  • Are building a display collection of classic D&D creatures
  • Need a boss-level predator for a forest, Underdark, or Feywild ambush scene

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a noble through the Ashwood — three days' travel, supposedly safe. On the second night, the horses bolt without warning. By morning, two guards are missing, their armour found in a clearing with claw marks far too wide apart to be any natural animal. Something is pacing the treeline, and it is never quite where it appears to be.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model with a detailed base is supplied as a single piece. The model with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy gluing.
