Disk of Ice by Mia Kay M3DM

Where the earth fractures and ancient pressures crack stone into blades, these jagged formations jut from the ground like the bones of a buried giant — a warning to those who travel too deep.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This rock crystal cluster scatter piece from Mia Kay M3DM is a collection of sharp, angular stone spires rising from a solid textured base. The sculpt features a central dominant spike flanked by a dense arrangement of smaller blades, capturing the look of natural geological formations — whether that's a subterranean crystal cave, a volcanic basalt field, or the fractured terrain of a blighted wilderness. It paints up equally well as pale quartz, obsidian, mineral crystal, or weathered limestone, giving DMs a remarkably versatile piece of battlefield scenery.
Equally at home on the table during a session or displayed on a shelf between games, this is the kind of terrain detail that elevates a flat battle map into a genuine environment adventurers will remember.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want to add natural hazard terrain to cave, dungeon, or wilderness encounters
- Are building immersive battle maps for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Enjoy painting geological textures — this sculpt takes dry-brushing particularly well
- Are creating diorama scenes or display setups with environmental scatter pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party pursues the fleeing cultist into the crystal grotto — but between them stands a forest of stone blades, each one waist-high and razor-edged. Moving at speed means Dexterity checks. Moving carefully means the cultist reaches the ritual circle first. The players have six seconds to decide.
