  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The dire wolf is one of the most evocative threats a Dungeon Master can place on the board. Not a monster in the arcane sense, but something older and more honest — a predator built for the kill, driven by hunger and pack instinct. This sculpt from MZ4250 captures that coiled menace brilliantly: the wolf is low to the ground, weight shifted forward, hackles raised in a spine of jagged fur along its back, jaws parted in a guttural snarl. Every detail — from the layered texture of the thick coat to the splayed claws and flattened ears — reads as a creature mid-stalk, not yet committed to the lunge but absolutely ready.

Whether you're running a wilderness encounter in a frost-bitten tundra, populating a goblin worg-rider warband, or placing this alongside a ranger character as a bonded companion, this miniature earns its place on the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where the sculpt's depth rewards a careful paint job — drybrushed fur, wet-blended shadows in the haunches, glinting eyes catching the light.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Need a beast encounter that feels genuinely threatening, not just a stat block
  • Are building a wilderness, tundra, or forest-themed encounter set
  • Play or DM with rangers, druids, or barbarians who bond with predatory animals
  • Collect and paint creature minis alongside their humanoid adventurers

Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party about the missing livestock — seven goats in a fortnight, no bodies found. On the third night of watching the treeline, two sets of amber eyes appear at the forest's edge. Then four. Then more than anyone wants to count. The alpha steps into the moonlight first, hackles high, and it is considerably larger than any wolf has a right to be.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to an oval base. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin prints, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before priming. The model arrives fully cured and ready for paint or immediate table use.
