Dire Pangolin by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
The jungle floor trembles as something vast and scaled parts the undergrowth — its sail-like crest rising above the canopy, its overlapping armour thick enough to turn a sword.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Dire Pangolin is one of those creatures that feels at once grounded in the natural world and utterly otherworldly on the tabletop. Mia Kay's sculpt captures the beast in two sizes — a towering adult and a smaller companion or juvenile — both bristling with layered scale detail, dramatic dorsal spines, and that distinctive long-snouted head. Whether you're statting it as a Huge beast, a druidic companion, or a prehistoric hazard in a lost jungle hex, this pair commands attention the moment it hits the table.
The bases feature natural rocky terrain, and the sculpts are rich with surface texture — the overlapping scale plating along the flanks and tail in particular rewards a careful paint job. These work equally well as gaming pieces and as display centrepieces for collectors who appreciate creature design with genuine character.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run wilderness, jungle, or prehistoric-themed D&D and TTRPG encounters
- Want a large-scale creature encounter that stops players in their tracks
- Are building a beast compendium of painted display miniatures
- Need a druid's animal companion with real visual presence
Encounter Hook:
The village of Thornmere has been offering livestock to the treeline for three seasons — not as tribute, but as appeasement. The party finds the latest offering untouched, the grass around it flattened in a wide circle, and somewhere deep in the forest, a sound like slow scraping stone getting closer.
Details
This listing includes two miniatures: a large adult and a smaller juvenile Dire Pangolin, both scaled to 32mm. Each is supplied with a detailed terrain base. Models are delivered ready for priming and painting. Due to the nature of the printing process, minor surface marks or support remnants may occasionally occur — these are easily cleaned up prior to painting.
