Description

The tomb-seals shattered three thousand years ago, and whatever bargain the Tyrant struck with death has held ever since — now it walks again, blades in hand, and the old runes on the floor glow with terrible recognition.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Desiccated Tyrant is a mummy lord rendered with exceptional sculptural weight — this is no shambling horror but a deliberate, ancient predator. Tight linen wrappings cover a desiccated frame, with ragged lappets of dried cloth falling from the waist in layered strips. The chest is partially exposed, suggesting the hollow cavity of a creature that gave up organs for immortality long ago. The skull-like face — leathery skin drawn taut over pronounced bone — is captured mid-snarl, radiating malice and centuries of accumulated fury.

Each hand is armed: a heavy-bladed hand axe fills the left fist, while a broad curved blade is gripped in the right, extended forward as though commanding or threatening. The arms are coiled with wrapped linen bracers, and the overall posture — wide-legged, leaning forward, stepping down over ruins — gives the impression of something unstoppable mid-stride. The base is richly detailed with carved stone runes, shattered tomb architecture, and a skull half-buried in the rubble — a visual record of this creature's long history of conquest.

This is a sculpt that rewards painters. The wrappings offer layered dry-brushing opportunities; the exposed bone and sinew beg for contrast work; the base alone could anchor a desert tomb diorama. Whether you're fielding it as a mummy lord, a BBEG risen from a cursed sarcophagus, or a centrepiece for your undead collection, the Desiccated Tyrant commands attention on and off the table.

This miniature is well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run desert tomb, ancient ruins, or Egyptian-flavoured D&D campaigns
  • Need a mummy lord or powerful undead BBEG with genuine presence
  • Want a characterful centrepiece for an undead warband display
  • Enjoy detailed miniatures with rich surface texture for advanced painting techniques
  • Are building encounters set in cursed pharaonic crypts or lost desert kingdoms

Encounter Hook: The party has descended into the lowest chamber of the Tomb of Keth-Amara, following a trail of reanimated guardians. The runes on the floor flare to life as a stone sarcophagus cracks open — and the Desiccated Tyrant steps out, clutching axe and blade, the same weapons depicted in the very murals on the walls above. It remembers every grave robber that has ever dared this place. It intends to add this party to that tally.
