Desecrated Coffin 03 is the third piece in Novaminis' Desecrated Coffin range of scatter terrain, and it's the most theatrical of the set. The coffin splits into two halves — lid and base — to reveal a skeletal occupant still lying within, limbs askew, the wood grain of the casing cracked and splintered at the top. Whether the skeleton is mid-resurrection, a grim prop left behind by a necromancer, or a dungeon dressing that hides a very nasty trap, this piece brings immediate narrative weight to any encounter space.
The sculpt captures the fine grain of aged timber across every surface, with the hollow interior lined in what reads beautifully as rotted funeral cloth. The skeleton itself is fully rendered — ribcage, pelvis, long bones all present — giving painters a compelling focal piece as well as a functional terrain prop. The two-part construction means you can pose it closed on approach and reveal the contents mid-scene for maximum dramatic effect.

Encounter Hook:
The party enters the crypt vault and counts seven coffins — but the map the sage provided showed only six. As they approach the unexpected seventh, the wood is unmarked and the brass fittings are still bright. Whoever was placed here was placed here recently. A DC 14 Perception check reveals faint scratches on the inside of the lid.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base arrives unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Arrives ready for priming and painting, though it looks characterful straight from the box. Scaled to 32mm as standard; if you need a different scale, just get in touch.
