This is the Desecrated Coffin 01, a piece of atmospheric scatter terrain that tells a story before your players roll a single die. The sculpt depicts a weathered wooden coffin with deep, realistic wood-grain texture running across every surface — and one version sits open, its interior exposed and its lid wrenched aside, while the closed variant shows deep splits and fractures where something has forced its way out. Whether you're building a vampire's crypt, a crumbling graveyard, or a dungeon chamber that once served as a burial vault, this coffin anchors the scene with the right kind of dread.
Both open and closed states are captured in this sculpt, giving your table two distinct storytelling tools in one. The fine detailing — cracked wood panels, jagged splinters, aged grain lines — paints a picture of age, violence, and something deeply unwelcome. DMs and painters alike will find plenty of surface texture to work with when it comes to drybrushing, washes, and weathering effects.

Encounter Hook:
The party enters the abandoned mausoleum to find a row of coffins — all sealed, except one. Its lid lies splintered across the flagstones, and the velvet lining inside bears the clear impression of a body that has not been there for some time. A DC 14 Investigation check reveals claw marks on the interior wood. They were made going outward.
Scaled to 32mm to sit naturally alongside standard miniatures. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. As with all our terrain pieces, it arrives ready to prime and paint, or can be used straight away for an unfinished, raw-wood aesthetic at the table.
