Yeenoghu — the Beast of Butchery, Ruler of Ruin, Gnoll Demon Lord of the Abyss — crouches forward in a posture of savage aggression, his massive spiked flail swinging low on a heavy chain. This sculpt captures him mid-lunge: jaws agape, rows of teeth visible, muscles coiled beneath a hide of thick matted fur and scaled flesh. His hunched silhouette is unmistakeable — part hyena, part demon, all destruction.
The flail itself is a centrepiece of the sculpt: a heavy spiked ball on a segmented chain, rendered with excellent surface detail. Yeenoghu's clawed feet grip the base with predatory intent, while a lashing tail and feathered hindquarters hint at something far older and stranger than any mortal beast. Mounted on a huge 76.5mm base, this miniature towers over standard 32mm figures — exactly as a Demon Lord should.
Whether you paint him in the bloody ochres and mottled greys of an Abyssal warlord, or the pale bone-white of a creature that has stalked the planes since before gnolls had language, Yeenoghu rewards careful brushwork. The surface texture — fur, scale, sinew, chain — gives painters a wealth of material to work with across a range of techniques.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Need a Demon Lord miniature for a high-level Abyssal or gnoll-centred campaign
- Want a centrepiece encounter creature that physically dominates the table
- Are painting large-scale monsters for display or competition
- Run Out of the Abyss, Descent into Avernus, or homebrew demonic incursions
Encounter Hook: The party follows the trail of slaughtered villages deep into the Gnarlwood, only to find the gnoll war-chief kneeling — not in victory, but in worship. From the treeline comes the sound of a dragging chain, and then Yeenoghu himself steps into the firelight, flail swinging, utterly unhurried. He is not here for the party. But they are here, and that is enough.
