Angazhan is one of the most primal and terrifying of all demon lords — a colossal, fur-covered brute whose power lies not in subtle corruption but in raw, savage dominance. The Toadstool Weaver has captured that ferocity without compromise. This sculpt presents Angazhan in a wide, forward-lunging stance, arms spread and claws extended, every muscle coiled with barely-contained violence. Dense fur ripples across his shoulders and legs, giving way to exposed, carved musculature across his torso. His horned head is thrown forward mid-roar, fangs bared and a snarl locked into his face that communicates exactly one thing: there will be no negotiation.
The sculpt rewards ambitious painters. The layered fur texture across the lower body and shoulders offers tremendous scope for wet-blending or drybrushing warm reds and deep ochres, while the exposed musculature of the chest and abdomen is practically begging for a shadow-heavy wash and careful highlight work. Those hints of arcane violet light — visible at the chest — give adventurers the opportunity to push some Object Source Lighting and truly make the piece sing as a display centrepiece or a table-dominating BBEG encounter model.
Whether you're building toward a climactic Abyssal campaign set piece or simply want a demon of genuine presence on your shelf, Angazhan delivers the kind of visual authority that makes other miniatures reconsider their life choices.
Particularly well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a centrepiece BBEG for a high-stakes demonic encounter
- Are running Abyssal, Pathfinder, or homebrew campaigns featuring demon lords
- Want a showcase painting project with rich texture and dramatic silhouette
- Collect large fiend sculpts for display alongside their warband
Encounter Hook: The party has fought their way to the heart of a corrupted jungle temple, believing they were closing a planar rift. The ritual is already complete. The ground splits. Angazhan steps through — not summoned, not controlled, simply arrived — and the ziggurat begins to crumble beneath his feet. Every demon that has been harassing the party for three sessions just dropped to one knee.
