This Deer Folk Shaman from Epic Miniatures is a character study in wild, unsettling spiritual authority. He stands upright with the broad, muscular build of a creature at home in deep woodland, his moose-like head tilted with predatory alertness — wide antlers branching dramatically above him. Bone beads and rope bindings wrap his forearms and chest, each one a trophy or a tether to the spirit world. In one hand he carries a tall ceremonial staff decorated with a fanged demonic face, bat-like wings, and skeletal vertebrae running the length of the shaft — a focussing instrument for something considerably darker than nature magic. A severed skull dangles from a cord at his hip alongside other grim ornaments.

The sculpt carries real weight as a character. His feathered mantle and tattered loincloth speak to a figure who has spent long years in isolation, accumulating power the slow and costly way.
