Description
Something is wrong with the svirfneblin — they've been locking themselves away at night, and the scratching sounds from behind the door are not entirely gnomish.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This listing presents a deep gnome lycanthrope across two sculpts: the gnome in their before-and-after forms. The first figure captures the gnome in simple clothing, one hand gesturing wide and expression etched with barely contained distress — a character caught between two natures, trying desperately to hold a conversation before the curse takes hold. The second is the hybrid wererat form: rat-headed, clawed, and coiled on haunches, mouth open in a hiss, ragged coat still clinging to a body that is no longer quite gnome. Both figures are unpainted grey resin renders from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, captured from multiple angles to show the fine surface detail — the shaggy mane of fur, the pointed ears, the whip-like tail curling beneath clawed feet.
For Dungeon Masters running Underdark intrigue, this pair tells a story at a glance. Place the gnome form on the table as a nervous NPC during the investigation, then swap in the hybrid when the moon rises and the session takes a sharp turn. Equally at home in a Ravenloft campaign or a Waterdeep sewer encounter, these sculpts carry the kind of narrative weight that makes players stop mid-sentence.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want an NPC whose transformation is visible on the tabletop
- Are building Underdark, sewer, or Ravenloft-themed encounters
- Need a wererat with a genuinely distinct character rather than a generic beast
- Love display painting projects with expressive, characterful faces
- Are running cursed-affliction storylines or lycanthropy mystery arcs
Encounter Hook:
The party's guide through the Underdark — a softly-spoken svirfneblin named Brek — has been increasingly agitated for three days. On the fourth night, camped in a collapsed tunnel, he presses a hand against a crevice in the rock and asks the party, voice shaking, to seal the gap behind him. The scratching starts an hour later. By morning, one of the party's rations is missing — and the claw marks on the stone are far too large for a gnome.
Details
This listing includes both sculpts: the gnome form and the wererat hybrid form. Both are printed at 32mm scale. A plain black base is available as an option at checkout — bases are supplied unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. Minis arrive ready for priming and painting, and are printed to a high-detail standard. Minor marks from support removal are possible; these are straightforward to clean up before painting.
