Description

Where the cathedral bells fell silent, something ancient settled upon the highest spire — wings spread wide, scythe gleaming, and the dead already rising at its feet.

  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

Death, Watcher is not merely a demon — it is a pronouncement. This display-scale centrepiece sculpt from Witchsong Miniatures depicts a towering, cadaverous reaper crouched upon a gothic stone spire, its enormous feathered wings arched to a fearsome span. In one talon it clutches a limp, skeletal form; in the other, a jagged bone-bladed scythe sweeps outward with murderous intent. The figure's hooded, feather-shrouded visage obscures any face beneath, leaving only darkness and the suggestion of something ancient and inevitable. Every feather, every claw, every crumbling stone of the spire beneath it is rendered with extraordinary sculptural detail — this is a piece that earns its place on both the battlemat and the display shelf.

At roughly 80mm base scale, Death, Watcher commands the table the moment it appears. Use it as a deity's herald, a bound psychopomp gone rogue, a Pale King's enforcer, or the centrepiece of an entire undead-themed arc. For collectors and painters, the layered feather textures, exposed bone structures, and gothic architectural base offer a genuinely rewarding project from basecoat to final highlight.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a display-scale BBEG or divine harbinger of death for their campaign
  • Are building an undead, necromancy, or fallen-celestial themed arc
  • Want a centrepiece miniature that doubles as a show-stopping display piece
  • Enjoy detailed painting projects with rich surface texture and dramatic silhouette
  • Collect large-scale fantasy miniatures from independent artists

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the ruined cathedral to find the town's dead already gathered in the courtyard — standing, silent, facing upward. On the tallest spire, wings folding slowly like a crow settling on a fence post, something enormous turns its hooded head toward the living. The scythe begins to rise. Initiative order, please.

Details

This model is supplied at display scale — the base measures 80mm, making it considerably larger than standard 32mm miniatures. This sizing is intentional: the artist designed Death, Watcher as a boss-level or display centrepiece. If you'd like to discuss alternative scaling, please get in touch and we'll do what we can. The gothic spire base is included but arrives detached — a small amount of glue will secure it. The model arrives ready for priming and painting, or looks characterful straight from the box in its raw state.

Mitz rolled Charisma. Simz rolled Charisma. Both succeeded. The humans had no say in any of this.
