Description

When the last candle gutters out and the air turns to frost, the Death Avatar rises — not as a servant of death, but as its sovereign.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is a figure built to dominate a table. The Death Avatar stands tall in sweeping, tattered robes that billow into ragged hems at the base, one gauntleted hand outstretched with grim authority and the other gripping a long-hafted scythe ornate with scrollwork, skulls, and a wicked curved blade. Framing the figure's skeletal, crown-wearing skull are enormous antler-like wings — jagged, asymmetric, erupting upward and outward like shards of bone given weight and ambition. Every surface tells a story: the layered armour plating beneath the robes, the decorative filigree on the scythe's collar, the small sculpted skulls adorning the weapon shaft. The scenic base completes the scene with swirling, cloud-like forms — as though the Avatar rises from the very border between the mortal world and whatever lies beyond it.

The multipart construction means the scythe and wing elements can be assembled for maximum dramatic impact, and the choice of decorative scenic base or plain round base lets you tailor the finished model to your exact needs — whether that is commanding a graveyard encounter or sitting pride of place on a painting display shelf.

As a large-based miniature on a 51mm base, the Death Avatar occupies the table with genuine physical presence. Paint it in bleached bone and tarnished gold for a classical undead look, or push into deep purples and spectral greens for something more arcane and otherworldly. Either way, this is a centrepiece model that earns its place.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding undead BBEG or campaign-defining final encounter
  • Are running Ravenloft, Shadowfell, or graveyard-arc campaigns
  • Want a display piece that rewards careful, layered painting
  • Are building out a Death domain Cleric's patron or a lich-king's heralds

Encounter Hook
The party has tracked the source of the undead plague to the barrow hill at the edge of the moors. As they breach the burial chamber's final seal, torchlight falls on a figure already waiting — robes still, antlered silhouette filling the doorway, one hand extended as if welcoming them into the afterlife. Initiative.
