Dead Tree 03 is the third sculpt in Novaminis' dead tree terrain range, and it's the most striking of the set. Tall and spindly, its bark deeply furrowed and its limbs splayed like skeletal fingers reaching for the canopy above, this tree carries the unmistakable silhouette of a place where something went wrong. Whether you're scattering it across a blighted forest hex, lining the approach to a lich's tower, or dressing the edges of a graveyard encounter map, Dead Tree 03 earns its place on the table the moment your players lay eyes on it.
The sculpt features exceptional bark texture detail across the trunk and exposed root system, with branching limbs that taper to sharp, claw-like points. It reads convincingly as both a naturally gnarled specimen and as something with a more sinister origin — useful whether your Dungeon Master is running a Ravenloft gothic horror arc or simply wants a Shadowfell-touched forest to feel genuinely unsettling. Equally at home in a painted diorama or as raw scenery on a game table.

Encounter Hook:
As the party moves through the Thornwood at dusk, searching for the missing village elder, one ranger notices that every dead tree in the clearing is leaning — slowly, almost imperceptibly — toward the centre. At the heart of the ring stands a figure in grey robes who has not yet turned to face them. The trees creak. The temperature drops three degrees. Roll initiative.
Scaled to 32mm to sit naturally alongside standard miniatures. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of adhesive. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or usable as bare terrain immediately. Some minor support marks may be present from the print process; these are easily cleaned up before painting.
