The Darkmantle is one of the Underdark's most underestimated ambush predators. Superficially resembling a stalactite or a drifting piece of cave fauna, it waits with uncanny patience for prey to pass beneath it before enveloping its target in a smothering, tentacled grip and plunging the surrounding area into magical darkness. This sculpt from La Louve 3D captures the creature in its splayed, predatory silhouette — a wide, mantle-like body fanning out above a mass of rippled, sinuous tentacles, with those distinctive bulbous eyes hinting at the intelligence lurking within. The surface detail across the mantle and tentacles is particularly sharp, with ridged texturing and raised nodules that will reward any adventurer who picks up a brush.

Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base (if the base option is selected) are provided as separate pieces and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. The decorative base is worth choosing — some sculpts interact with their base in ways that enhance the overall composition considerably. Each piece is printed to a high standard, fully cured, and support marks cleaned before dispatch; minor imperfections inherent to the printing process may occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before priming.
