The darkmantle is one of the Underdark's most unsettling ambush predators: part cephalopod, part living trap, entirely nightmare. These two sculpts from Novaminis capture the creature mid-unfurl — mantle spread wide, hooked claws splayed, and that deeply alien body tensed as though it's already clocked the party and is simply waiting for the right moment. The sculpting across both poses is rich with biological texture: warty, mottled skin, a ridged underbelly lined with serrated detail, and a wide-spread membrane that reads as both beautiful and deeply threatening depending on the angle. This is pose 1 of our Darkmantle range paired with pose 2 — one crouched with its mantle fanned dramatically open, the other caught in a more lateral sprawl with the maw pulled wide and claws raking forward. Two distinct silhouettes, one deeply unsettling creature.

Encounter Hook:
The party is three hours into the tunnels when the torches go out — not blown out, not snuffed, but simply gone, as though the darkness itself reached down and swallowed them. The rogue hears something shift overhead. Then two somethings. The darkvision check comes next, and whatever it reveals, it's too close.

This bundle includes both Darkmantle 01 and Darkmantle 02, offering a saving compared to purchasing each sculpt individually. Scaled to 32mm. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed prior to dispatch, though minor marks may occasionally remain from the printing process — these are easily cleaned up with light sanding.
