The Doom Herald is a warrior who has long since left honour behind. Clad in layered battle armour and a tattered, fur-edged cloak that speaks of countless campaigns in frozen wastes, he carries the trophies of the fallen — a skull chained at his hip, more crushed beneath his heavy boots on the base. His horned greataxe is raised mid-swing, every sinew coiled and ready. The masked helm conceals whatever expression hides beneath, but the posture says enough: this is a man who announces doom not with words, but with the arc of a blade.
The sculpt is rich in narrative detail. The base is a ruin of shattered stone and skulls, suggesting a battlefield already won. His cloak billows behind him in rough, layered sections. Chest straps, heavy belt pouches, knee guards, and spiked sabatons all add texture and weight to a figure that reads as truly dangerous from any angle. This is a dark knight built for the moment the doors burst open.
From the Tales of Kreyvos setting by Primal Collectibles, the Doom Herald works equally well as a formidable BBEG lieutenant, a fallen warrior player character, or a centrepiece display piece that earns a place on any shelf.
Adventurers who will love this miniature:
- Dungeon Masters building encounters around a conquering dark army or corrupted warlord
- Players running a fallen paladin, oathbreaker, or dark knight character build
- Painters who want strong silhouette, bold armour panels, and a dramatic base to work with
- Collectors drawn to the Tales of Kreyvos lore and Primal Collectibles' aesthetic
Encounter Hook: The party crests the ridge to find the village already silent. Standing in the square, axe resting across one shoulder and three fresh skulls dangling from his belt, the Doom Herald turns slowly to face them. He does not speak. He simply raises the axe — and begins to walk forward.
