This is pose 02 of the Dark Knight range by Galaad Miniatures, and it carries a different energy to its sibling: grounded, deliberate, and deeply threatening. The sculpt depicts a fully armoured knight in a long battle coat, standing with the weight of authority rather than the urgency of charge. His ornate great helm — crowned with elaborate flanged ridges — conceals whatever lies beneath, and that mystery is half the menace. In his left hand he wields a sinuous, serpentine halberd, its shaft coiling like something alive. In his right, a massive kite shield bearing flame-like decorative ridges anchors his stance and declares that this is not a warrior who runs.

The detail across the armour is rich without being overwrought — layered plate, flowing coat, gauntleted fists wrapped around weapons that look relic-worn rather than newly forged. Whether you place him as a BBEG in full plate, a cursed champion of a fallen order, a Death Knight variant, or a rival paladin gone to shadow, this sculpt has the presence to carry it. Equally at home commanding a display shelf as commanding a battlefield.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding BBEG or end-of-arc boss with real visual gravitas
  • Are building a fallen knight, Death Knight, or corrupted paladin encounter
  • Want a named NPC rival or blackguard with distinct character
  • Collect dark fantasy armoured warriors for painting projects or display

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the monastery to find it empty — every door open, every candle snuffed — until they reach the great hall, where a single armoured figure stands motionless before the altar, serpentine halberd planted in the flagstones, flame-edged shield resting at his side. He has been waiting for them. He knew they were coming. He turns, slowly, and says only: "You took longer than I expected."

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and decorative base are provided as separate pieces — we recommend superglue for assembly. The base is designed to complement the sculpt, and the two work best displayed together. This is a digital render image showing the unprinted sculpt; your miniature will arrive in grey resin, ready for priming and painting or display as cast.
