Description
Where the summoning circle should have held, the chains snapped — and something that was never truly a horse spread its wings and screamed.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Dark Horse Knight is no mere infernal mount. This creature is armoured in layered plate and chainmail across its flanks, bound by a heavy chain bit that suggests it has known servitude — and broken free of it. Bat-like wings fan wide from its shoulders, each membrane taut between bone-white spars that taper into curved talons. The head is equine only in its broadest silhouette: fanged jaw agape, mane wild and wind-torn, a single horn rising from its brow. This is a fiend that wears the memory of a horse like a war trophy. The sculpt rewards viewing from every angle — the rear shows an imposing spread of wings and a heavily scaled spine, while the front captures the rearing, predatory energy of a creature mid-charge or mid-roar.
For Dungeon Masters, this miniature carries real table weight. Use it as a nightmare steed for a Death Knight, a boss-tier fiend encountered in the ruins of a corrupted cavalry barracks, or the centrepiece of an Abyssal warlord's mounted vanguard. It also holds its own as a display piece — the layered sculpt detail across the chainmail, armoured greaves, and wing membranes gives painters a genuinely rich canvas to work with. Equally suited to gaming and collecting.
Adventurers who'll want this one:
- DMs building mounted fiend encounters or Abyssal invasion scenarios
- Players running campaigns where a corrupted warlord needs a suitably terrifying steed
- Collectors and painters drawn to large, characterful creature sculpts
- Anyone constructing a dark fantasy chess set with presence on the board
Encounter Hook:
The party intercepts a Hellrider patrol on the road to the besieged city — but the knight atop the Dark Horse was unhorsed three days ago. The creature has been riderless since, and it has developed preferences of its own. It has chosen a target among the adventurers, and it will not stop until it has dragged them back through the planar rift it arrived from.
Scaled to 35mm. A decorative base is available in three options — please specify at checkout: Bricks (55mm), Tiles (55mm), or Pedestal (55mm). Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or equally striking displayed as cast.
