Dark Bishop by Great Grimoire
Description
He once led the faithful in prayer — now he leads them in something far darker, his scripture rewritten in the margins with words no god sanctioned.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Dark Bishop cuts an imposing figure at the table: a rotund, sneering cleric in ornate ecclesiastical robes that have been twisted into something sinister. His tall mitre rises to cruel, spike-like points, and the intricate lacework of his vestments hints at a man who once held genuine religious authority — before ambition, corruption, or something worse turned that authority inward. In one hand he thrusts an open tome aloft, its pages dense with cramped scripture; with the other, he reaches forward in a gesture that reads equally as benediction or condemnation. Skeletal hands claw up from the base at his feet, suggesting the unholy company he now keeps.
This is a sculpt built for ceremony and menace in equal measure. Whether he's the puppet-master behind a corrupt church, the final boss of a religious conspiracy arc, or a fallen cleric PC with a complicated past, the Dark Bishop brings genuine dramatic weight to any encounter. His expression — mouth wide, eyes gleaming — suggests a man utterly convinced of his own righteousness, which makes him all the more dangerous.
A fine choice for adventurers who:
- Need a compelling villain NPC at the heart of a corrupt religious faction
- Are running a Ravenloft, Curse of Strahd, or dark faith-themed campaign
- Want a dramatic boss encounter miniature with genuine table presence
- Play a fallen Cleric or Warlock PC and want a sculpt that tells that story
- Collect character minis with strong personality and display appeal
Encounter Hook:
The cathedral has been silent for three days. When the party finally breaches the doors, they find the congregation kneeling in perfect stillness — eyes open, unblinking — while the Dark Bishop stands at the pulpit, tome raised, delivering a sermon to an audience that stopped breathing some time ago. He turns to greet the party with a broad, unhurried smile.
