Description

Born between the world of the living and the eternal hunger of the undead, Vaelric Nocturne walks the night as something neither fully mortal nor fully damned — and that makes him far more dangerous than either.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

Vaelric Nocturne is a dhampir of aristocratic bearing and lethal precision, sculpted as part of Primal Collectibles' Legacy of Blood range. The sculpt captures him in a long, layered greatcoat with ornate button fastenings and a flowing cape — the silhouette of a nobleman who has long since discarded the pretence of peace. He stands atop a gothic scenic base decorated with broken stonework and a snarling wolf's-head relief, the whole composition reeking of centuries-old grudges and bloodline curses. Two distinct poses are available in this range: one catching him mid-command with one arm outstretched and a longsword levelled, another with the blade drawn low and his gaze fixed on something just out of frame. Both convey the same coiled menace — a figure who has survived long enough to stop being afraid of anything.

Whether you're building a Ravenloft campaign, running a gothic urban arc in Curse of Strahd, or crafting an NPC whose noble lineage hides a centuries-old secret, Vaelric slots naturally into any setting where the line between predator and protector is blurred. He's equally at home as a morally ambiguous ally, a recurring villain with a personal code, or the final revelation of a long-running mystery. Equally, this is a miniature that earns its place on a display shelf — the scenic base and dramatic pose make him a rewarding painting project for collectors who want something with genuine gothic character.

Perfect for adventurers who:
  • Need a dhampir or vampire noble NPC with genuine presence at the table
  • Are running Curse of Strahd, Ravenloft, or a homebrew gothic horror campaign
  • Want a morally complex, sword-wielding anti-hero as a player character proxy
  • Are building a gothic horror display collection and want a centrepiece with depth
  • Enjoy painting layered fabric, dramatic capes, and detailed scenic bases

Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a series of exsanguinated bodies to a crumbling manor house at the edge of the city — only to find Vaelric Nocturne already there, sword drawn over a fresh corpse, with a calm explanation that makes just enough sense to be unsettling. He claims to be hunting the same killer. He may even be telling the truth.

Details

Vaelric Nocturne is supplied at 32mm scale and comes with a detailed scenic base as a separate piece — the two are designed to interact, so attaching them with a small amount of glue is recommended. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and ready to prime. As with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks are possible and easily addressed before painting.
