Dalia the Desert Flame is a character who belongs in the winding souks, sun-bleached ruins, and shadowed caravanserais of any desert campaign setting. Sculpted with remarkable attention to fabric and form, this miniature captures two distinct poses: the first shows Dalia standing with quiet, calculating poise — one leg crossed, a hand raised thoughtfully to her veil, her jewelled face-wrap and ornate waist-belt hinting at wealth carefully disguised as wandering. The second pose catches her mid-stride, cloak draped across one shoulder, her long braided hair trailing as she turns — the look of someone who knows she's being followed and isn't remotely concerned.
Whether she's a rogue with a silver tongue, a warlock whose patron deals in secrets, or the most well-connected information broker in the Brass Quarter, Dalia commands the table the moment she appears. Painted or bare, the sculpt rewards close attention — the layered silks, the beaded veil, the anklet bindings, and that magnificent braided updo are all rendered with crisp, paintable detail that will shine under a careful brush.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable NPC contact, rival, or morally ambiguous quest-giver
- Are playing a Rogue, Bard, Warlock, or Sorcerer in a desert or city-intrigue campaign
- Want a display piece that captures the elegance of a desert wanderer at rest and in motion
- Are building out an Amn, Calimshan, Zakhara, or homebrew desert city encounter
Encounter Hook:
The party has been searching three days for the stolen relic. On the fourth morning, a woman in a beaded veil sits down across from them at breakfast — uninvited — and slides a folded note across the table. It contains the location they've been looking for. She says nothing, rises, and disappears into the crowd before anyone can react. The note is signed only with a flame.
