This is pose 02 of the Cursed Mercenary range by Galaad Miniatures. Where some undead trudge and shamble, this one stands with the unsettling poise of a soldier who still remembers his drills. Clad in battered Renaissance-era armour — breastplate dented, tassets tattered, boots worn from ten thousand marches — he holds a chipped longsword raised in a two-handed guard, skeletal jaw frozen in that permanent rictus grin. His broad-brimmed hat, adorned with a jagged feather plume, gives him the air of a mercenary captain rather than mere rank-and-file. From behind, a flowing cloak billows around studded pauldrons, adding real movement and drama to the sculpt.

Whether he serves a lich lord, haunts a cursed battlefield, or was raised mid-contract by a necromancer who didn't check the small print, this miniature brings character and menace in equal measure. He works equally well as a named undead officer, a recurring antagonist, or a distinguished addition to a warbanded skeleton horde. Equally at home on the gaming table and the display shelf.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a skeleton NPC with personality and presence, not just filler
  • Are running a gothic horror campaign, Ravenloft arc, or undead war narrative
  • Want a centrepiece enemy for a mercenary company risen from the dead
  • Paint undead miniatures and want rewarding detail to work with
  • Collect fantasy miniatures and appreciate characterful undead sculpts

Encounter Hook:
The party discovers a crumbling contract nailed to a dungeon wall — signed in faded blood, still legally binding. As they read the final clause, a measured footstep echoes from the corridor behind them, and a skeletal figure in a feathered hat rounds the corner, sword already raised. He was hired to guard this vault in perpetuity. He has been doing so for two hundred years. He intends to carry on.

What's included:
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative cobblestone base are printed as separate pieces and can be attached with super glue — the sculpt is designed to work with its base, so we recommend using it. Printed unpainted and ready for priming, painting, or use straight from the box. As with any hand-finished piece, minor surface marks may occasionally occur — these are easily tidied up before painting.
