The Crystal Rex is no ordinary apex predator. Part living dinosaur, part geological event, this massive theropod-style beast is encrusted from snout to tail tip with jagged crystal spines that erupt along its spine and shoulders like tectonic ridges. The sculpt captures it mid-lunge — jaws thrown wide, rows of recurved teeth exposed, one forelimb raised as it drives into its prey. Every inch of exposed hide is a dense field of cobblestone-textured scales, beautifully resolved and deeply satisfying to paint. The crystal growths shift in size along the creature's back, from broad slabs at the shoulders down to tighter clusters along the whipping tail — a detail that will reward careful colour choices in the paint scheme.
