Description

It lurched from the shadows of the burial chamber, chainmail rattling against exposed bone, one clawed hand outstretched and grasping for the living.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs

This is pose 2 of our Crypt Skeleton range from The Toadstool Weaver — and it's one of the more unsettling of the set. Sculpted with remarkable anatomical detail, the skeleton wears a torn chainmail tunic that clings to its desiccated frame, ribs visible beneath where the mail has split away. Its skull is tilted forward, jaw open in a silent scream, while one arm reaches forward with grasping fingers — caught mid-lunge, mid-pursuit, mid-hunger. There's genuine character in the pose: this isn't a standing guard, it's an active threat.

Whether you're running a crypt crawl, a necromancer's fortress, or a haunted village on the edge of a cursed moor, this miniature brings real menace to the table. It works equally well as a rank-and-file undead soldier or a more prominent encounter piece, and its detail rewards a careful paint job for those building a display collection.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Need undead soldiers, crypt guardians, or necromancer thralls for their encounters
  • Are running Ravenloft, a gothic horror campaign, or any undead-heavy dungeon
  • Want a companion piece to pose 1 and other variants in this range
  • Are building a painted undead warband for their display shelf

Encounter Hook:
The party's Cleric expends their last Channel Divinity to Turn Undead — but this skeleton fails the saving throw and rushes them anyway, chainmail scraping the flagstones as it lunges across the tomb for the nearest throat.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished miniature work, minor surface marks are possible and can be smoothed away with fine sandpaper. Each piece is fully cured and ready to prime.
