Crypt by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
The stonework is older than anyone in the village can remember, and the skulls set into its base have never quite stopped watching.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This crypt scatter terrain piece is a weighty, atmospheric addition to any graveyard encounter, haunted dungeon, or necromancer's lair. The sculpt features a broad, flat-topped sarcophagus-style crypt slab with deeply carved radial detail across the lid — sun-wheel or death-sigil, depending on how dark your campaign runs. The raised border is studded with skulls at each corner and along the edges, half-submerged in the stonework as though the dead are pushing through from below. A rope-twist edging frames the whole piece, giving it an almost ceremonial quality — this isn't a forgotten grave, it's a monument.
Whether you're staging a midnight ambush in a crumbling churchyard, running a Ravenloft arc, or setting the scene for a lich's sanctum, this piece brings exactly the kind of grim, storied presence that turns a flat grid into somewhere your players will remember. Equally at home as a display piece or centrepiece for a painted diorama.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run undead encounters, graveyard scenes, or dark fantasy campaigns
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as a genuine display piece
- Are building a Ravenloft, necromancer, or gothic horror table
- Love painting detailed stonework with washes, drybrushing, and freehand
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with retrieving a signet ring from a sealed family crypt — but when they arrive, the heavy stone lid has already been shifted aside, three skulls are missing from the base, and something has scratched a single word into the stonework from the inside: WAITING.
Scaled to 32mm. The crypt is supplied unpainted and ready for priming. The model with a simple base comes as a single attached piece; the version with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy gluing. Some minor support marks may be present — these are straightforward to clean up before painting.
