This is pose 01 of our Crusader range by Great Grimoire — a heavily armoured warrior sculpted with exceptional surface detail throughout. The front view shows a broad-shouldered knight in layered plate, chainmail skirt, and a visored great helm, gripping an ornate longsword in his right hand and bearing a large embossed kite shield on his left arm. The crossguard and pommel of the sword feature intricate wheel and spoke detailing, and the shield face is decorated with raised scrollwork. The rear view reveals a second weapon — a flanged mace tucked at the back — along with beautifully rendered chainmail texture across the body and studded leather pouches at the waist. He stands on a craggy stone base, mid-stride, with a posture that reads as seasoned and unhurried.
Whether you're fielding him as a player character Fighter or Paladin, a veteran NPC knight, a faction champion, or a formidable rival on the battlefield, this sculpt carries the weight of someone who has earned every piece of that armour. The level of detail — from the articulated knee cops to the layered pauldrons and the fine chainmail links — makes him equally rewarding as a painting project and as an unpainted display piece.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Play Fighters, Paladins, or oath-bound warriors of any variety
- Need a commanding NPC knight, order champion, or antagonist lord
- Want a centrepiece mini with exceptional surface detail for painting
- Collect armoured human warrior sculpts for display
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the city gates to find them sealed — and standing before them, visor down and sword planted in the cobblestones, is a knight bearing the crest of an order they were told had been destroyed thirty years ago. He speaks no greeting. He simply waits.
