Cross by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
At the edge of a forgotten village, a crude wooden cross stands lashed with fraying rope — a marker, a warning, or perhaps something older and stranger than either.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This scatter terrain piece depicts a rough-hewn wooden cross bound with a coiling rope, set into a rocky rubble base. The sculpt captures the texture of splintered timber and twisted cordage with the kind of detail that rewards a careful painter — the grain of the wood, the braid of the rope, the uneven stone beneath. It reads immediately as something improvised, ancient, or ominous, which makes it one of those pieces that earns its place on a table the moment it appears.
Whether you're dressing a roadside graveyard, a cultist's ritual site, a frontier settlement, or a dungeon antechamber, this cross adds quiet menace to any scene. It scales naturally alongside 32mm figures and sits comfortably as a focal point or a background detail depending on where your players choose to look.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Are building graveyard, wilderness, or village encounter maps
- Need atmospheric scatter pieces for cult, undead, or horror-themed sessions
- Want detailed terrain that rewards painting with drybrushing and washes
- Collect display-quality fantasy terrain alongside their miniatures
Encounter Hook:
The party crests the hill to find three identical crosses planted in a rough triangle around the ruined farmhouse — each one wound with the same rope pattern, each one facing inward. There are no graves beneath them. The farmer's children are still missing.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. This terrain piece comes attached to its sculpted rubble base as a single piece.
