Description

He didn't rise to the top of the underworld through honest work — that smile hides a dozen knives, and every one of them has someone else's name on it.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

Hassan Jafar is the kind of NPC who owns the room before he's said a word. This display bust from Primal Collectibles' Uncharted Kingdoms: The Mighty Stone collection captures him in full swagger — broad-shouldered, belly forward, robes parted to reveal a chest draped in a heavy chain necklace, and that wide, knowing grin stretched across a face that's seen every scheme succeed and every rival fall. His jewelled turban sits with authority atop close-cropped, greying hair, and his wide-set shoulders carry an ornately engraved coat with scroll-work pauldrons that speak to wealth earned through very unofficial channels. One hand grips a short staff or club, the other pulls back his robe like he's presenting himself to a court that has no choice but to listen.

The sculpt rewards close attention: the layered fabric folds in his sash, the textured weave of his robes visible from the rear, the decorative filigree carved into his coat's lapels, and the sheer confidence in his expression make this a genuinely rewarding piece to paint. Whether you're picking out the glint in his rings or blending shadow into the folds of his heavy cloak, there's detail here at every level.

As a bust, Hassan Jafar is a display centrepiece first — a showcase for painting technique and expressive character work — but he's equally at home as narrative inspiration on a DM's desk, anchoring a whole arc of intrigue, crime, and political manipulation.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Paint display busts and want a character brimming with personality and expression
  • Are building a fantasy collector's shelf with villains worth remembering
  • Run D&D or TTRPG campaigns featuring thieves' guilds, desert cities, or merchant empires
  • Want a patron, crime boss, or antagonist that their players will immediately distrust — and probably be charmed by anyway

Encounter Hook:

The party has been summoned to Hassan Jafar's counting house to negotiate safe passage through the docks district. He receives them lounging in an enormous chair, staff across his knees, that smile already in place. He already knows what they're going to ask. He already knows what he's going to demand in return. The question is whether the party realises this before they've already agreed to something they can't take back.
