The Crawling Claw is one of the more unsettling entries in the Monster Manual — a severed humanoid hand, reanimated through dark necromancy and bound to carry out the will of its creator. Small, fast, and disturbingly purposeful, it skitters across dungeon floors and clutches at ankles before victims even realise the threat is upon them. This sculpt captures that creeping menace with sharp detail: the long, curved talons splayed wide as the hand rears back, a ragged stump where the wrist was severed, and that awful sense of arrested motion — as if it was caught mid-lunge.
Whether you're running a necromancer's lair, a cursed crypt, or an encounter where the party realises the pile of severed hands in the corner is not, in fact, inanimate — the Crawling Claw earns its place at the table. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors drawn to the macabre end of undead miniature collecting.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run necromancer-themed D&D 5e or TTRPG encounters
- Want a low-challenge but high-atmosphere undead encounter piece
- Are building a display collection of classic Monster Manual creatures
- Love the deeply unsettling detail that only small monsters can deliver
Encounter Hook:
The wizard's sanctum has been silent for three days — but when the party finally breach the inner chamber, they find his research notes still open, his chair still warm, and twelve crawling claws arranged in a neat circle around a single arcane sigil, all of them slowly turning to face the door.
This miniature is scaled to 32mm and arrives as a single piece attached to its round base. It comes unpainted and ready for priming — the detail holds paint superbly, and those talons reward a careful ink wash. Some minor clean-up of support marks may occasionally be needed, though we inspect every piece before dispatch.
