They say the harbour at Saltmaw went quiet three nights running — then the anchor came back without the ship.

This is no ordinary crustacean wandering the shallows. The Crabfolk Warrior is a bruiser of the deep tides — a massively built, semi-humanoid crab creature whose enormous asymmetric claw could overturn a rowboat with a single snap. What sets this sculpt apart is the weapon it has claimed as its own: a full ship's anchor, trailing thick chain links, wielded as casually as a warhammer. The carapace across its broad torso is segmented and battle-worn, and its multiple limbs give it the unsettling, scuttling gait of something that does not know what it is to retreat.

The sculpt is presented in an aggressive forward-leaning stance, with the great claw raised and the anchor swung low — a creature mid-charge, closing the distance before the party has finished their initiative rolls. The detail across the shell plating, the articulated leg joints, and the chain links of the anchor make this a genuinely rewarding piece to paint. Equally at home on a seafaring campaign table as it is on a display shelf.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run coastal, aquatic, or port-city D&D and TTRPG campaigns
  • Need a distinctive monster or territorial NPC for a harbour encounter
  • Want a large, characterful creature that reads instantly across the table
  • Enjoy painting textured carapace, metal chain, and nautical detail
  • Collect creature miniatures for display as well as play

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to investigate a series of sunken fishing vessels off the coast of a small harbour town. Diving to the wreck of the most recent ship, they find the anchor has been torn free — and dragged inland. Following a trail of crushed timber and splintered dock planks, they come face-to-face with a Crabfolk Warrior that has claimed the anchor as a trophy weapon and now guards the entrance to a sea-cave where its kin have begun fortifying a new territory. It will not negotiate. It has already made its opening move.
