Description
Where the shoreline meets the deep, something ancient and armoured watches from the shallows — and it is not alone.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This characterful crustacean sculpt from Mia Kay M3DM captures a large crab in a low, grounded pose, its segmented legs spread wide and its shell bristling with texture. Rising from its back are dramatic, flame-like tendrils — sea anemone fronds or perhaps something stranger and more magical — that give this creature an otherworldly quality far beyond a simple beach encounter. Whether you're running a coastal hex-crawl, an underwater dungeon, or a seaside fishing village beset by something unnatural from the tides, this miniature brings genuine presence to the table.
As comfortable on a collector's shelf as it is in the middle of a battle map, the sculpt has excellent detail throughout — from the articulated legs to the organic, flowing forms rising from the carapace. It sits on a smooth, rounded base that suits coastal terrain or open ocean tiles equally well.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run coastal, island, or underwater D&D and TTRPG campaigns
- Need a beast encounter with an unusual, magical edge
- Are building a seaside or deep-sea encounter collection
- Want a distinctive centrepiece for a display shelf or diorama
- Love painting organic textures — shell, chitin, and flowing tendrils all reward careful brushwork
Encounter Hook:
The fisherfolk of Saltmere haven't returned from the bay in three days. When the party investigates the cove, they find the nets torn apart and the sand churned — and at the waterline, half-submerged, something large and spined is feeding on the wreckage of a hull. It turns, and the tendrils along its back begin to glow.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model with a simple base comes as one piece, pre-attached. The model with a plain base option is supplied separately for easy gluing. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and are easily tidied up before painting.
