Description

Not every danger on the road wears armour — sometimes it's three hundred pounds of bovine indifference standing between the party and the village gate.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Cows are a staple of any grounded fantasy setting. Whether grazing peacefully outside a farming hamlet, lowing anxiously as the players approach a corrupted barn, or stampeding through a market square after a botched Druid spell, a well-sculpted cow miniature does more for immersion than most adventurers give it credit for. This sculpt from The Toadstool Weaver captures the weight and texture of a sturdy, broad-shouldered bovine — wrinkled hide, solid hooves, and a gaze that suggests mild suspicion of everything within eyeline.

Equally at home on the gaming table and on a display shelf, it's a characterful piece that grounds rural encounters in something tangible. Paint it up as a Highland breed, a dun farmyard cow, or something altogether more supernatural — the sculpt holds detail well and rewards careful brushwork.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run farming villages, rural hexcrawls, or low-fantasy campaigns
  • Need animal NPCs and livestock for market, inn, or countryside encounters
  • Build dioramas or display collections featuring everyday fantasy life
  • Paint character animals as part of a larger scenic project

Encounter Hook:
The farmer in Millhaven swears his prize cow, Bessie, has not eaten in three days — she simply stands at the edge of the south field, staring into the treeline. When the party investigates, they find her hoofprints stop abruptly at the tree's edge, and something has been circling the spot in the night. Whatever is out there, it's been watching the farm. And it's getting closer.
