Description

He was someone's neighbour once — now the corruption has spread across his shoulders like a second spine, and he can't quite remember why he used to be afraid of the dark.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 4 of our Corrupted Villager range from The Toadstool Weaver, and it tells its own grim little story. Slumped on the ground, one hand splayed out as though reaching for help that never came, this villager is mid-transformation — the grotesque tumours and growths bursting from his neck and back suggesting something deeply wrong has taken root inside him. His expression is still human enough to be unsettling: confused, pained, barely holding on. It's the kind of miniature that makes players genuinely uncomfortable, which is exactly the point.

For Dungeon Masters running horror-adjacent campaigns — think Ravenloft, cosmic corruption arcs, or plague-touched villages — this sculpt carries narrative weight without a single word of flavour text. Painted or unpainted, it earns its place on the table. Display collectors drawn to dark fantasy or body horror aesthetics will find it equally rewarding as a painting project, with the texture of the growths offering excellent detail for washes and highlights.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run horror, plague, or corruption-themed D&D and TTRPG campaigns
  • Need an NPC that communicates tragedy and dread at a glance
  • Want a challenging and rewarding miniature painting project
  • Collect dark fantasy or Ravenloft-style display pieces

Encounter Hook:
The party finds him propped against the village well, still breathing — just. Between laboured gasps he whispers a name: the miller on the edge of town. When they reach the mill, the door is already open, and the smell hits them before they even cross the threshold.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks or imperfections can occasionally occur and are easily cleaned up. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready to prime and paint.
