This is Corrupted Villager #3 from The Toadstool Weaver, and he is the third sculpt in this creeping horror series. Where the other corrupted villagers might suggest a gradual transformation, this one is mid-lunge — barrel-chested, barefoot, mouth agape in a ragged shout, one meaty fist clenched at his side and the other arm thrust forward with grasping, clawed fingers. His face is contorted with wild fury, his beard unkempt, and the swollen, ridged mass crowning his skull speaks to something deeply wrong beneath. He wears the simple tunic and belt of an ordinary working man, which makes the violence of his posture all the more unsettling. Together with the other Corrupted Villager sculpts, he helps tell a whole village's tragic story on the tabletop.
Whether you're running a Ravenloft campaign, a plague-touched hamlet encounter, or a body-horror mystery arc, these sculpts give Dungeon Masters genuinely threatening NPCs that double as compelling display pieces. Unpainted, he carries that eerie uniformity of a figure not quite itself anymore — paint him pallid and bruised, or go full necrotic corruption with pulsing veins and discoloured flesh.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run horror-adjacent D&D campaigns or Ravenloft-style gothic adventures
- Need NPC minis that carry dramatic weight on the encounter map
- Want a set of corrupted civilians to populate a cursed village
- Enjoy painting character-rich sculpts with expressive faces and dynamic poses
- Collect display-worthy horror miniatures alongside their gaming pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Ashfen to investigate reports of missing travellers. The inn is empty, the fire still lit, and the stew still warm — then the barn door splinters outward and Old Brennar, the miller, comes charging across the mud with his hands outstretched and something pulsing behind his eyes that has never been there before.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed in place with a drop of glue. As with all hand-checked prints, minor surface marks are possible; these are easy to clean up before priming.
