This coral reef terrain piece is a substantial, richly detailed scatter piece designed to bring underwater, coastal, or exotic wilderness encounters to life on your table. The sculpt features two broad coral pillars connected by a natural archway, layered with flat shelf corals stacked like pages of stone, clusters of branching staghorn coral reaching upward, rounded brain coral formations, and delicate anemone blooms nestled at the base. The variety of coral types gives the piece a convincing reef ecosystem feel, and the archway formation creates a natural point of interest — just the kind of feature a sea hag, merfolk scout, or aboleth might lurk behind.
Whether you're running a nautical campaign, a coastal hex-crawl, or an Underdark encounter near a subterranean sea, this piece adds immediate environmental storytelling. It works equally well as a display centrepiece for diorama builders and collectors who appreciate the level of botanical detail packed into a single sculpt.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run underwater or coastal D&D and TTRPG encounters
- Want varied line-of-sight blocking scatter terrain with real visual depth
- Are building dioramas or display scenes set in reef or ocean environments
- Paint terrain and want a piece with multiple distinct texture zones to highlight
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the stolen pearl to the Sunken Garden — a flooded chamber beneath the sea-cliff temple where two great coral columns frame a natural arch. As they wade in, the water around the base of the arch begins to ripple. Something with too many tentacles is using the reef as a blind, and it has been waiting.
Scaled to 32mm. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush. The sculpt arrives as a single connected piece. Some minor clean-up of support marks may be needed, and we quality check every piece before it leaves us.
