Description

Behind the beaked mask and weathered wrappings, something ancient stirs — a construct born of forgotten artifice, armed with iron and wrapped in the tattered remnants of a civilisation that no longer exists.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

The Construct Gunslinger — known in DM Stash lore as Big Iron — is a bust sculpted with extraordinary attention to texture and character. The front view reveals a hooded figure wearing a single-lensed plague-doctor-style mask, its face half-shrouded beneath a voluminous feathered and fur-trimmed cloak. Ornate banded armour wraps the torso, etched with scrolling knotwork, while cloth bindings speak to something painstakingly assembled — or reassembled. The rear view is equally rich: a deeply textured tattered cloak billows dramatically, its frayed hem trailing like smoke, and gnarled construct hands emerge from its folds. The sculpted base is a decorated plinth with architectural detailing, cracks, and runic stonework — a display piece in its own right. Unpainted and printed in grey, every surface rewards a painter's brush with clearly defined fabric folds, riveted armour panels, and intricate edgework.

Whether you envision this figure as a Warforged Artificer gone rogue, an ancient mechanical assassin dragged out of a ruined city, or a mysterious patron whose true nature your players haven't quite worked out yet — this bust carries the weight of a backstory without needing a single word of explanation.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want a detailed display bust for a serious painting project
  • Are building a collection of construct or artifice-themed display pieces
  • Need a visually arresting NPC, patron, or villain to place on the table and let the players stare at
  • Love the intersection of gothic plague-doctor aesthetics and clockwork fantasy

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in a sealed vault beneath a collapsed artificer's tower. At the centre, seated on a cracked stone throne, is a motionless figure in a feathered cloak and beaked iron mask. As the rogue pries open the far door, one lensed eye clicks open — and a voice like grinding gears says, simply: "You are late."

Details

This is a bust-format display piece, scaled and sculpted for painters and collectors rather than standard tabletop play. It comes with the ornate architectural plinth base as sculpted. Supports are removed before dispatch, and each piece is quality checked — though minor surface marks inherent to the process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up with light work.
