- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Construct Fortune Teller is one of those NPCs that stops a table cold. Outwardly, she reads as a travelling soothsayer — draped in a layered coin-trimmed skirt, a floral bone necklace, and a linen headscarf — but the geometric seam lines across her face betray the truth: this is no ordinary woman. She is a constructed intelligence, perhaps the last remnant of a forgotten artificer's legacy, programmed to dispense prophecy to any who seek it. Whether she speaks truth, riddle, or something deliberately designed to manipulate, is entirely up to your DM.
The sculpt captures her mid-gesture, one hand raised open-palmed as though presenting a vision, her expression poised between knowing and inscrutable. The detailed scenic base — scattered with cylindrical pedestals and ritual vessels — grounds her as a character with a place and a purpose, not just a wandering oddity. She works equally well as a mysterious roadside NPC, a hidden oracle in a thieves' guild, or a centrepiece encounter in a malfunctioning magical institution. Equally at home on the gaming table or a display shelf, this miniature rewards a careful painter.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a distinctive construct NPC who reads as human at first glance
- Are running campaigns involving artificers, ancient magic, or lost civilisations
- Want a miniature that works for D&D 5e, Pathfinder, or any TTRPG with arcane intrigue
- Are building a painted display collection with strong character pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party enters a long-abandoned market square and finds a single stall still operating — the Fortune Teller seated behind it, smiling, as she has been for three hundred years. She offers each of them a reading. The prophecies are unsettlingly accurate. When pressed on how she knows, her smile does not waver: "I was told to know. I have had time to practise." Then the party notices the queue of skeletal remains waiting politely behind them.
