- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
The Colossal Knight Horror is not merely a warrior encased in plate — it is something far older and far stranger wearing the shape of one. Every surface of this extraordinary bust tells a story of corruption and power: layered pauldrons and angular plate housing an unmistakable eldritch eye at the chest, braided tendrils spilling from beneath the armour, and a massive flanged war-axe raised mid-swing with violent intent. Broken arrows are embedded in the frame, arrows that clearly did nothing to slow it down. The sculpt captures a creature that has long since outgrown any army that once commanded it.
As a display bust, this piece is built for painters and collectors who want a centrepiece that demands attention. The depth of detail — riveted plate panels, organic corruption textures, the almost architectural quality of the war-axe head — gives painters an exceptional range of techniques to explore, from hard-edged NMM on the armour to fleshy, translucent glazes on the aberrant eye. It sits equally well on a painter's shelf or as visual inspiration for a campaign's most memorable antagonist: the ancient construct that turned, the paladin whose oath broke something open inside it, or the warforged whose core was corrupted by something that crawled up from below.
Wellsuited for adventurers who:
- Want a detailed display bust with a wide range of painting challenges
- Are building a collection of large-scale fantasy horror centrepieces
- Need a visual reference for a corrupted knight, construct villain, or aberrant boss in their TTRPG campaign
- Are looking for a gift piece that will genuinely impress on any shelf
Encounter Hook:
The party reaches the centre of the collapsed fortress and finds it standing in the rubble — motionless, war-axe lowered, its chest-eye tracking each of them in turn. It was supposed to have been sealed here centuries ago. The arrows in its frame are from the adventurers who came to check on the seal last month. It hasn't moved yet. That seems important.
