Description
He came from the Wastes with nothing but the clothes on his back and a reputation that preceded him by three seas — and now every pirate captain from here to the horizon knows better than to give him an order twice.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Arakun of the Wastes is no ordinary ship hand. This colossal first mate commands the deck with the bearing of someone who has survived things that would break lesser beings, and carries the scars — and the tattoos — to prove it. His tribal chest markings speak of a life far from any ocean, yet somehow he ended up aboard the most feared vessel on the waves, pointing his claw-tipped spear at the horizon and daring the world to disappoint him. His rope-bound polearm, knotted sash belt, and layered bone-and-hide kilt all speak of a man who built his kit from whatever the world threw at him — and won.
The sculpt captures him mid-command: one arm outstretched and pointing with clear authority, the other bracing a long bone-tipped spear angled across his body. His long coat billows behind him, hair swept up in loose topknots with small horns visible above the brow, and his expression is one of absolute, unhurried confidence. He stands on a textured ship-deck base made of worn wooden planks — a base that suits him far too well to leave off. This is a miniature that works equally well as a named NPC villain, a player character Barbarian or Fighter, or a commanding display piece on your shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable named pirate NPC — a first mate, faction enforcer, or naval boss fight
- Are running a seafaring campaign with high-stakes ship encounters
- Want a Goliath or tribal warrior miniature with genuine presence at the table
- Are building a painted display piece from the Blood on the Sails setting
- Play a Barbarian, Fighter, or Monk character with an exotic, weathered aesthetic
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve stolen cargo from a pirate sloop — but when they board, they find the captain dead in his chair and Arakun of the Wastes standing at the prow, one arm extended towards the horizon, the ship already changing course. He does not turn to acknowledge them. He simply says: "You're three days too late. But I may have use for you yet."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative ship-deck base is included as a separate piece and attaches with superglue — Arakun's pose interacts naturally with it, so we recommend displaying him with it. Supports are removed before despatch; as with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied before painting.
