Cockatrice 2 by La Louve 3D
Description
One glance from those pale, unblinking eyes and the bravest fighter in the party realises — far too late — that their feet have stopped working.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The cockatrice is one of the great terrors of the wilderness encounter table: not a dragon, not a demon, but something altogether more unsettling. Part bird, part reptile, all menace. This sculpt from La Louve 3D captures the creature mid-charge — beak wide, feathered crest raised, scaled tail arched high behind it — radiating the frantic, furious energy of a beast that knows exactly how dangerous it is. The detailing is exceptional: overlapping scales across the haunches, individual feathers layered along the flanks and tail, and taloned feet gripping the base as though it's already picking up speed.
This is variation 2 of our Cockatrice range — adventurers browsing the full selection will notice the distinct difference in pose and angle from variation 1, making both well worth having for multi-creature encounters or to represent a cockatrice ambush from different directions. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf, it's a characterful piece that earns its place in any collection of classic D&D monsters.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run wilderness, forest, or ruin encounters in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Want a memorable, lore-authentic monster to threaten their players with petrification
- Collect classic D&D creatures for display or painting projects
- Need a second cockatrice pose to build out a full encounter
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a merchant through the Ashfen Marshes — but three days in, they find his previous guide stone-cold and literally stone-still on the path, fingers outstretched as though pointing at something in the reeds. Something that is, even now, watching them from the undergrowth with pale, unblinking eyes.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — attach with a small amount of superglue. The decorative base is recommended, as the sculpt is designed to interact with it naturally. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor imperfections may occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before painting. Arrives fully cured and ready to prime.
