  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The cockatrice is one of fantasy's most distinctively dangerous creatures — part rooster, part reptile, all menace. This sculpt captures it mid-lunge: beak wide open in a rattling screech, one taloned foot raised mid-stride, wings half-spread for balance and threat display. The scaly body is covered in beautifully textured overlapping scales and spines running down its back and tail, while the feathered wings and elaborate crest contrast sharply with the reptilian bulk beneath. It's a creature that communicates danger in every detail — and on the tabletop, it commands attention the moment it hits the mat.

In D&D 5e, the cockatrice is a Challenge 1/2 Beast with a petrifying bite that can turn an unlucky low-Constitution character to stone in a single round. This sculpt does full justice to that threat — equally at home terrorising a low-level party in a forest clearing or presiding over a cursed menagerie as a display piece on your shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a petrification-capable Beast encounter for low-to-mid level parties
  • Are building a wilderness, marsh, or ruined-estate encounter table
  • Want a visually striking creature for a painting project
  • Collect D&D 5e monster miniatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The old gamekeeper's estate has been abandoned for three seasons, and the villagers blame the silence on ghosts — but the party discovers the truth when they find a stone-grey hand jutting from the overgrown hedgerow, its expression one of sudden, absolute surprise. Something is still nesting in the collapsed aviary.
